The One Gewog One Product (OGOP) programe, a Royal initiative under the Queen’s Project Office, was established in 2015 with the guidance of a working committee. Inspired by Thailand's One Tambon One Product (OTOP) program, OGOP focuses on community development, strengthening rural economies, and promoting sustainable, environmentally conscious production systems. OGOP follows a community-led approach, working closely with local groups and cooperatives from each Gewog in Bhutan. It provides training in sustainable resource management, cooperative formation, product development, and post-harvest management.
