Druk Tshongrig Gatoen | Celebrating Entrepreneurship in Bhutan
Druk Tshongrig Gatoen was officially launched earlier today at the Thimphu Clock Tower. Dasho Penjore, Governor of Royal Monetary Authority graced the opening as the Chief Guest along with representatives from government ministries, heads of Development Partner organizations, Civil Society Organizations, media and the public.
During the opening, Dasho Penjore launched an Entrepreneurship Market Fair where 30 entrepreneurs have displayed their Made In Bhutan products. While these entrepreneurs will be at the clock tower until 27 October, about 75 young people will attend important sessions by Bhutanese and international speakers on developing fundamental entrepreneurial skills.
The festival is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the country and positively contribute towards self reliance, creating employment opportunities and creatively address solutions to Bhutan's developmental challenges.
