The traditional metal tea kettle is usually wrapped on its handle with plastic ropes or cloth to reduce heat conduction. The kettle is called 'Jamji' in local terms. The kettle is a symbolic item you will find in most Bhutanese homes. Traditional butter tea called Suja is prepared in this kettle.
