This special drink from Bhutan is one of the finest blend of whiskey from Bhutan launched recently in 2019. TER means "treasure" in the Bhutanese language and this special drink imbibes an 18-year single malt whiskey and represents the discovery of a secret treasure from Bhutan.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden Brown
Nose: Subtle fresh green rich note with balanced aroma of ripe fruit and spice with a hint of sherry
Taste: Delicate vanillin and light spicy
Finish: A pleasant round finish
Overall: A well-balanced drink with subtle sweetness, taste best in neat sip

The Army Welfare Project was established in 1974 with the aim of creating employment and post-service benefits for ex-servicemen. The first distillery was established in Gelephu in 1976. The AWP expanded, leasing the Samdrup Jongkhar distillery from Namdik Enterprises in 1979 and the Samtse distillery from Bhutan Central Distillers in 1981.

Samtse distillery has an installed production capacity of over 10 million cases per annum. The distillery blends and bottles brands like Black Mountain whiskey, Bhutan rum, gin and liqueurs.
